We see reclaiming Ukraine’s cultural heritage as one of the crucial tasks for our organization. Our theme in 2023 will be Ukrainian avant-garde art from 1920-1930, with names such as Kazimir Malevich, Oleksandr Archipenko, Volodymyr Tatlin, Sonia Delaunay, Vasyl Yermylov, Oleksandra Ekster, and others.

24 February 2023 we mark a horrible date: one year since the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.  On this deeply saddening occasion, at the initiative of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, the historic Cafe Moskau will be transformed into Cafe Kyiv as an art intervention until 28 February. The event program created in cooperation with numerous partner organizations is called to demonstrate, that Ukraine’s resilience and ability to thrive in the hardest times prevail over the barbarity of this war.
