At the opening of the exhibition of Ukrainian artists “Motherland” we present the visual sand performance by Svetlena Vadko and Aljona Kirichenko, Kul’tura e.V.,  based on motives of the poetic drama by Lesja Ukrainka “Mavka”. The Song of the Forest”.

Written at the beginning of the 20th century, this play by the Ukrainian poet Lesja Ukrainka explores the tension between mystical nature and everyday human life. It tells of love for the forest and home, and of responsibility for the future.
