“Reconstruction and Recovery: A Vision for the Future of Women in Donetsk Region.”

The III Congress of Women of Donetsk Region, entitled “From Today’s Challenges to a Vision for the Future,” took place in Kyiv in Oct. 2025 and was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security.

The event was organized by the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the NGO Smarta, and the Coalition 1325 Donetsk Region, with technical support from UN Women Ukraine and funding from the governments of Sweden and Denmark.

The Congress brought together dozens of women leaders from frontline regions, including representatives of local authorities, civil society organizations, volunteer initiatives, the military, and human rights organizations.

Kul’tura e.V. was represented in one of the Congress’s key panel discussions, “Reconstruction and Recovery: A Vision for the Future of Women in Donetsk Region,” contributing to the conversation about women’s perspectives, priorities, and visions for Ukraine’s future recovery.
